Top 10 Reasons Why Low Carb Diet Is Not Helping You to Lose Weight

The following are the top 10 reasons why your low carb diet is not helping you to lose weight. Each has an impact on your ability to successfully lose weight, but also maybe augmented by having unrealistic expectations or having unhealthy behaviour patterns over the long haul. So it is important to assess how each of the following might be contributing to the success or failure of your current low carb dieting regiment.

You Are Losing Fat, You Just Don’t Realize it

This is one of the primary problems with low carb diets. Weight loss happens, but it isn't apparent to the untrained observer and often not even when dramatic losses occur. This isn't helpful for most average dieting individuals. Check your actual body weight regularly, compare your body mass day to day, or more often.

You’re Not Cutting Back on Carbohydrates Enough

Even within the context of a low carb regiment, sometimes an individual maybe consuming too many real carbohydrates. Unknowingly, many new to low carb diets do this, but not by choice. Most simply thought that all carbohydrate sources would be listed, as a resource page in their diet book of choice. Even today, the best written texts on diets are only partially complete.

You’re Not Eating Real Food

The suggested dietary intake of many low carb regiments are ludicrous. If your body is not feeling well fed, then you probably are not taking in enough nutrients. Complete proteins, vitamins, minerals, water and many other things are necessary for a healthy physical state. Something work as real food, but it isn't always what is suggested by dieting gurus. Low carb diets tend to saturate users with partial foods that do not amount to complete real food content.

You’re Not Sleeping Enough

Lack of proper nutrition will interfere with normal human sleep patterns. Not getting enough sleep hours is probably a sign that your low carb diet isn't working well. Only you can truly judge this, so be honest with yourself and get proper rest.

You’re Eating Too Much Dairy

Low carbs in massive doses will cause your body to crave calcium and vitamin D. Overeating dairy foods will not help your body over compensate, it will actually cause you to become overdosed with dairy, so to speak.

You’re Not Exercising Right (or at all)

Feeling lethargic or lower in energy means your body isn't getting enough food. It needs complete mixed proteins, sugars and carbohydrates to make fuel for energy production and physical consumption of this energetic fuel. Not exercising ever is just as bad, as exercising all the time.

You’re Eating Too Many Sweeteners

Sugars and sweeteners are like drugs to the nervous system, but they only kill you slowly. The usage of synthetic sweetening agents in particular, can be very toxic to the body over time. Make sure that your active use of artificial sweeteners isn't excessive, especially when you are eating a low carb diet everyday.

You’re Always Eating

If you are always eating, it's probably because you are always hungry. This is a sure sign of being highly malnourished. Eating nutritious foods instead of a low carb regiment will help this feeling. Also eating all the time will not help you lose weight.

You’re Cheating Too Often

If you are always starving yourself, then you probably are cheating at your diet plan equally often. This is all right, except it defeats the purpose of being on a low carb diet plan.

You’re Eating Too Many Calories

Enough said, if your low carb diet is stuffed with excessive calories, you will not lose weight.
